How to get found on Google in your local area
If customers search for a service near them, you want to be among the first results. Most of the work is simple and does not cost anything.

Claim your Google Business Profile
This free listing controls how you appear on Google Maps and in local results. Add your address or service area, opening hours, phone number and photos. Keep the details identical to those on your website.
Name your services and places
Write pages and headings using the words customers type. "Boiler repair in Leeds" is more useful to a searcher than "Our services". List the towns you cover in plain text.
Keep your details consistent
Your business name, phone number and address should match everywhere they appear: your website, Google, Facebook and any directories. Small differences make search engines less sure about you.
Ask for reviews the honest way
After a job goes well, send the customer a link to leave a review. Never buy reviews or write your own. It breaks the rules of most platforms, and customers can usually tell.
Give the site a solid base
A page that loads quickly on a phone, has a clear heading and its own page title and description is far easier for search engines to understand. These basics are included in every Wish Xperts website.
